Let's get started...Materials
Ok, let's talk materials, you will need the following:
Fiberglass mat (the rough looking stuff not the woven cloth) preferrably a heavy mat like 1.5 oz
Fiberglass resin, polyester resin is what you will find at most autoparts stores and is what you want not epoxy resin unless you are familiar with working with that
Corvette panel adhesive, yep thats the name of the stuff, it glues fiberglass to metal, ask your auto body store for it
Self tapping sheet metal screws, short ones are fine
Cheap paint brushes
Lots of tape. Both masking and packing tape. The packing tape has better hold once you start applying some force to the shape
Foam, I used the pink insulation foam but and sturdy foam that is shapeable will do.
Body filler, preferrably not bondo, get some good stuff, but the good ole B will work in a pinch.
Sandpaper, 40 grit through whatever you want to finish it off.
Tools, screwdrivers, sanders, grinders, metal sheers, all the good stuff you hopefully have.
