Working with the shape
Ok, so now you wet out the mat. Use a tapping motion with the paint brush, let the resin really soak in. With a heavy mat it will not immediately wet out, just tap on the resin from one side to the next and when you have covered the whole surface come back and start to actually "work" it. With it all wet you will want to start gently tapping it against the fender getting it to "stick" making sure to really work to define the body lines and work out all the air bubbles. The end result should look something like this.

Walk away, go get lunch, take a nap start prepping the next fender. Do anything but mess with it. Let it set up. Depending on your mix this will take awhile. Just let it be, preferrably overnight.
Ok, you resisted the urge to mess with it, its later, much later, it feels hard to the touch and not sticky. Woohoo. Now we can try to remove it. This is where your waxing paid off or it didn't. Even with the wax it will take some finesse, slowly start lifting the edges, work something thin and flexible in there, if a supermodel isn't available a putty knife will do. Work around the edges it will eventually come off, unless you skipped the wax step...you wouldnt do that would you?

You will be left with a reasonable faximile of your fender. Cool huh?
