1992 Alfa Romeo 164L
Car is now sold and on its way to Ohio!
This car is for sale. I am awaiting a clear title before advertising it or final sale if interested. Its a good solid runner that needs someone to fix what ails it. Alas...Im up to my ears in projects and lack the time resources and interest to do much with it right now (and the wife has asked that I stop hoarding cars "for later")

There's just something about italian cars....no matter how many times I think Im done with them, they keep coming back. Seriously, I just sold the Lancia, the only thing left close to italian around here is the Yugo (Fiat 128 roots). I kept joking that I was going to shoehorn an Alfa V6 into the Yugo so a friend sends me this ad for an Alfa 164 . ...sigh, ok I decide to email him and see if it was auto or manual, I needed a manual for the project so hopefully this would rule it out. Well it was an auto but when the owner emailed back he mentioned it really needed to be gone by the end of the weekend (this was thursday) So I decide maybe I should go look at it just in case it was too good to pass up. So I head out on lunch to see the car. Never did find it, so I emailed the owner again to say I was sorry for not showing but the directions were no good. He felt bad for the bum directions so he said if I could get it moved by the end of the weekend I could have it for a very reasonable price. Well I know when not to say no so here she is. Runs great, 114,000 miles. Needs: Tires, exhaust, and a windshield and just some general TLC and cleaning. There is also an awful rattle at low rpms. The owner said the mechanic told him it was the torque converter cover plate which was broken, further investigation shows its a cracked flex plate. Easy fix....once you pull the tranny. Doesnt effect driveability or operation, but it sure is annoying.
UPDATE: I just got a NOS flex plate to fix the trans so if someone is interested in the car that will be included, or possibly even installed with the sale, time permitting.
